The imprint

Imagination Applied Press

Three lines of work, one standard: say what is actually known, show where it came from, and make the useful part easy to act on.

The Press publishes under Imagination Applied. It exists because the practice keeps producing things worth writing down—analysis that ought to be checkable, and methods that ought to be usable by someone who was never in the room.

Line one

Open Research Series

Secondary analysis published with its code, its denominators, its robustness checks and its file checksums. Limitations are stated in the body of the work, not a footnote, and the strongest counterargument we can build against our own result is published alongside it.

Published

The Developers Using AI Without Trusting It

A secondary analysis of 26,102 current AI-tool users finds favorable stance toward AI carries substantially more information about daily use than trust in output accuracy.

Line two

The book series

13 titles across three series. Practical books for people doing the thing, not reading about it.

Line three

Artistic Intelligence: A Manifesto

Artistic Intelligence is what we use when the answer is not waiting to be found—it has to be made.

Josh's first book—a theater director's way of seeing, applied to work and to AI. Not a method book; the practice is a separate project.

About the book →

The standard

Every claim traceable to a source. Every number checkable. Where the evidence does not support a stronger statement, the weaker one is printed instead—and where an earlier version got something wrong, the correction is published rather than quietly folded in.

The philosophy

Artistic Intelligence

What we use when the answer is not waiting to be found. Josh's forthcoming book.

The practice

TheaterThink

The rehearsal-based method. How we work.

The company
